Is it really worth the money to hire an interior designer?
Obviously, we think so….thankfully so do our clients. We will help you find and enhance your style. The investment you make in working with a seasoned designer will not only save you time but will also save you from making costly mistakes. You will gain access to our network of resources that may not be available to you otherwise. You’ll also benefit from the experience and technical knowledge of our team of professionals that are ready to assist you.
How much will this cost?
If you’ve never done this before and have no frame of reference, chances are it may be more than you expect. But, don’t panic! A big part of our job is to work with you to come up with a feasible budget based on your needs and the resources you are willing to allocate. We will also advise you on the factors that drive price and how to assess value. Most people hire designers because they want a unique space that includes quality furnishings. We will help you get there, with respect for your budget.
How long will this take?
When you hire a designer, you are hiring a creative professional to design and deliver a customized space. This process takes time but is certainly not unending. The timeline will be based on the scope of work requested. Typically you will have the ordered items in 8-12 weeks. We will notify you of lead times, back orders, unexpected manufacturing or shipping delays. However, another key variable in this equation is how quickly you make decisions.
Will you work with my contractors?
Yes. We are happy to work with your contractors. In fact we encourage it. It’s best to create a team that will work together for your financial benefit. We can also refer licensed contractors, skilled craftsmen and service providers; however, you will make the ultimate decision on who to use. Renovating can be daunting and we will stand up on your behalf to handle issues that will inevitably arise during the process.
What happens if I don’t like part of the design or something you’ve shown me?
The best thing you can do in this situation is to speak up right away! It’s okay, you won’t hurt our feelings. We need and value your input and collaboration. This is your home and should be a reflection of you.
Do I have to buy the recommended furniture from you?
You may think that purchasing items on our own will achieve some measure of overall savings; however, this isn’t always true. In fact, you may end up paying more than you expect. We make every effort to offer the best pricing available.
